Speed and Noise Guide

We focus on making our standard cabinet kits quiet enough that they won't be noticeable unless you're in a completely silent room, within four feet, and actively listening while they're running. Fan motors work harder to spin faster. We suggest staying under 25 decibels to be unnoticeable in most residential or office situations.

Unfortunately, we've noticed that many fan manufacturers claim inaccurate decibel levels. Quality does differ between manufacturers, but we recommend that you take noise rating differentials (assuming the same fan speed and bearing type) with a grain of salt.

 

Prioritize airflow over noise level? The fans included in our kits they can be swapped out for higher airflow models. If you need to customize a system with a different fan please contact us and we'll put together a custom kit for you.
